Providence, RI (2004 - present)
Fifteen walls of bas-reliefs made with 100% cotton canvas pieces sewn with fossil textures subsequently stretched onto cut geometric plywood boards and painted with either acrylic paint or clear acrylic medium. At a mid stage in the construction the canvas pieces were treated with Inspectashield to give an NFPA 701 fire protection rating. This project was a collaboration with architect Kathryn Duff.
Fall River, MA (2003 - present)
This installation is a combination of planar net sewn three dimensional constructions spanning between six and twelve feet each of Trevira CS, a German solar protection fabric. These works are hung as an integrated sculpture from a 22 foot ceiling and can also be viewed from a second floor balcony. This project was a collaboration with architect Kathryn Duff.
Princeton, NJ (1979)
This installation of twelve works, many of which were 15 ft. or more in width filled a room 87 feet by 67 feet. The skylight piece spanned almost 40 feet. Some of the works were of a translucent tent formation that allowed the spectator to go inside to experience them. These works were sewn planar net constructions made with donated Berkshire Hathaway 100% Dacron fabric of multiple colors. Swan finishing of Fall river donated the fire coating.
